Peroshki Filling (Beef & Cheese)
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 large onion VERY finely minced
- 5 garlic cloves minced
- 1 egg
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tbsp. dried dill (or 1/4 cup fresh dill chopped finely)
Instructions
- Fry the beef
- Add the onions
- Add salt & pepper to the frying pan
- Add the garlic and just cook until fragrant
- Allow meat mixture to cool to room temperature
- Beat and add egg to cooled mixture
- Add cheese and dill
- With your hands (I use glove - ugh!) knead all ingredients until mixture is uniform.
- Now you are ready to fill your peroshki!
