Shake and Bake Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp. onion powder
- 1 tbsp. dried parsley
- 2 tsp. dried basil
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 lbs. of skinless chicken thighs, breasts, or drumsticks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450° F.
- Mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add the oil and toss with a fork until completely combined in a coarse, sandy texture.
- Rinse the chicken with water and while it's wet, dredge it in the bowl of seasoning mixture.
- Bake at 450° F for 10-20 minutes, depending on thickness of chicken pieces.
- Thighs: approximately 10-15 minutes
- Breasts / Drumsticks: approximately 15-20 minutes
- SAFE CHICKEN INTERNAL TEMPERATURE IS 165 F
Notes
This tastes like 'Shake & Bake' chicken, but is home made and natural.
Last time I made this, hubby insisted I write down the recipe so I wouldn't forget, so... here it is, hubby-approved LOL!
